Black Store-Network
“BUY BLACK!!!” A phrase shouted from the rooftop of just about all Black Activists everywhere. Problem is...we as a people don’t exactly make a lot. Plus, the things we do market are mostly available only via mail order (with shipping sometimes costing more than the product itself) and/or cost more than products offered by the general market.
We need a process that allows Black manufacturers to put their products into Black hands massively and affordably. And that solution is a BLACK STORE-NETWORK--stores spread all across the U.S. where Black suppliers may ship their goods in bulk at wholesale rates and the consumer base may acquire them at much grater savings than dealing directly.
In a nutshell, ideally, all stores would be 501c3, donating a significant amount of their profits toward endeavors benefiting their local Black Community. They would all be interconnected via a website/app and would *ship goods back and forth as needed by any other stores. (*Should the Store-Network establish its own shipping/delivery network, this would be especially beneficial regarding heavier, common, items such as bottled drinks and canned goods.)
See the poster at bottom for a general illustration.
HELP BUILD THE STORE-NETWORK
For the most economically efficient--and anti-theft--method of operations possible, pickup centers are highly suggested in lieu of general marts. Due to the recent upsurge in theft (or, further evidence of a crumbling White Supremacist society--many “Walmarts” closing). Customers would order online and then pick up their orders in the lobby when notified. Later, a transport/delivery service could be implemented allowing the network to transport its stock while subsidizing operating costs via contracting its transport services out to other entities in need--thus, lowering product cost for consumers via reduced shipping costs. BENEFITS of Pickup Centers: Cheaper prices via less need for store security because customers would not have access to stocked goods regarding possibility of theft; also less potential damage to stocked goods due to no customer handling of such goods. Greater storage capacity of goods due to the ability to use smaller isles because of elimination of customer traffic form stock areas.
Also, 501c3 status is beneficial in that the store/pickup-center would fund its personnel salaries and store operations, store some capital for expansion and unforeseen circumstance...and would dedicate its remaining profits toward capitalizing projects (to the FBA) for Black Advancement in the local area.

POSTER for STORE-NETWORK
If you would love to have a Black-owned store network across the nation (and eventually the world) selling goods made and supplied by Black concerns--and that would contribute a portion of its profits toward building a socio-economic infrastructure leading to Black Autonomy, contribute *$6 to receive the 13" X 19" poster below and/or simply contribute any amount (in dollar-increments) to BlackAwakeningDay.org should you not want the poster. Contact B.A.D. to relay your message regarding this as well as the shipping address for the poster. (*The $6 applies to USA residents only. Foreign supporters would have to pay extra for shipping.) |
