PARTNERS

Black Partners are being sought to help capitalize the establishment as well as development of the Ebon Run project, with the capital being used to register The Ebon Run entity.

If you feel you're qualified and are interested, relay your name (and handle if desired) along with your locale and state how much you're interested in contributing to the overall development of the Ebon Run project--including, among other things, the acquisition of printing facilities allowing the magazine to be printed at break-even cost. Also include any plans you may have to help the project succeed. At the bottom of your email, copy and paste the basic "STIPULATIONS for PARTNERSHIP" below.

STIPULATIONS for PARTNERSHIP

for The Ebon Run Magazine Enterprise/Brand

(Note: These are just the basics. A more detailed list will be made should development warrant.)

To protect the integrity and reinforce the mission and purpose of The Ebon Run brand, the following stipulations will apply regarding all individuals desiring to be partners (in a continuously all-Black partnership) for said brand:

1) The Ebon Run (as distinguished by TheEbonRun.com—to be associated with a Partnership LLC) will be a printed magazine of 8-1/2” X 11” size ideally published bi-weekly (twice monthly) and featuring news, info, and other content oriented toward the global Black populace. It will begin in a selected urban area of significant Black population and will expand to other such areas as demand increases and capital allows, with the eventual goal of expanding globally until the entire literate Black populace has access to printed copies.

2) Ownership and control of The Ebon Run brand will permanently be in Black hands via a Black-dominated staff, Black partners (limited to 10 or less) providing operating capital and receiving dividends and privileges therefrom, and a Black patronage-base eligible to vote on staff/partner replacements as well as on certain other matters warranted regarding operations of The Ebon Run enterprise.

3) The mission of The Ebon Run will always and forever be to allow the world’s Black populace to spread its vital messages to all entities in empathy with Black Advancement so that all concerned may become better aware of the Black Plight and may therefore connect and network in order to take steps to advance the Black race.

4) Accordingly, at least 80% of regular, standard, editions of The Ebon Run magazine will be dedicated to vital/significant news/info concerning the Black plight all across the globe. The other 20% or less will be reserved for entertainment, amusement and/or other purposes in order to accommodate enjoyable and more full experiences and thereby draw in greater readership.

5) The Ebon Run staff will recruit writers from around the globe and will allow them to write their own articles in their own words—with a heavy emphasis on recruiting writers who are of grassroots/street organizations and causes, whereby their content would be more personable and bear more firsthand familiarity with the subject matter, and thusly giving a unique and different take on the matters.

6) Any sponsors (advertisers) allowed into ad spaces of The Ebon Run magazine will not be associated with significant violations of human rights or of excessive ecological destruction. All products/services/causes thusly promoted must be inoffensive to any entities who would rightfully object to their promotion.

7) The entity that is The Ebon Run will establish, manage, and promote a 501c3 fund (Ebon Run Business Fund—ERBF) that will receive donations from supporters as well as a portion of profits generated from The Ebon Run enterprise—with the purpose of said fund being to capitalize startups and/or expansion for deserving Black-owned enterprises.

8) Profits generated from The Ebon Run brand will be engineered to be of a reasonable amount or percentage capable of maintaining/subsidizing operations—with a moderate amount being dedicated to the ERBF and to profits for partners of The Ebon Run.

9) As part of its normal operations, The Ebon Run brand will be in charge of conducting annual campaigns to elect one Black male candidate for the title of “Mr. BLACK RISE” and one Black female candidate for the title of “Ms. BLACK RISE”—whereby each will simultaneously represent the cause of Black Socio-economic Advancement, particularly via industrial development, and with each being paid a stipend as well as being provided with a significant amount of capital they may each use to start or expand their own business/organizational endeavors beneficial to the Black populace. All candidates will be selected by The Ebon Run staff and partnership, with those selected appearing in The Ebon Run centerfold, whereby Black subscribers of The Ebon Run will elect the winners by vote.

10) Until actual operations indicate otherwise, earnings generated from The Ebon Run brand (which will also include fashion—T-shirts, hoodies, caps, etc.—as well as other products and/or services) will be distributed in the following manner: 65% toward operations, 15% toward expansion & *savings (*for unpredictable needs), 10% toward the ERBF, and 10% paid as dividends to partners collectively. (Note: Should expansion ever be completed on a global basis, that portion of the money could be transferred to the ERBF.)

11) Along with dividends, partners will also collectively receive a page in The Ebon Run magazine allowing each of them an individual space (limited to 10 total spaces) for promoting any acceptable goods/services/causes they’re associated with.

12) The salary of the top executive of The Ebon Run enterprise (Editor In Chief) will be limited to no more than 10 times the lowest-paid employee of The Ebon Run enterprise.

13) Whenever possible, Black youth (ages 15-21) will be sought to become independent contractors serving as carriers of copies of The Ebon Run magazine to individual, and/or bulk, subscribers. Said youth will be paid what is considered fair compensation in proportion to their efforts. They may also be contracted to sell/deliver Ebon R un products.

14) Expansionary efforts of The Ebon Run will include acquiring printing facilities serving the general public as well as allowing The Ebon Run staff to reduce printing costs of the publication and thereby increasingly lower purchasing costs of the publication, thereby increasing its circulation for the literate populace and also, therefore, increasing its ad-value for sponsors. Until actual operations indicate otherwise, 65% of the profits generated from said printing-facility venture will be used as subsidy to lower publishing costs.

15) The founder (Keith B. Anderson) of The Ebon Run brand and owner/controller of TheEbonRun.com domain will be given his own page (“FOUNDER’S PAGE”) in the publication he may use to spread his messages and to promote any acceptable goods, services, and/or causes he so desires. Upon the founder's passing, said page may be used for whatever purpose deemed most beneficial by the partners and that follows the stipulations listed here.

16) Until his passing, the founder will regulate, but not manage, all operations associated with The Ebon Run enterprise. Upon the founder’s passing/incapacity, Ebon Run staff will conduct an election allowing the Black subscribers to elect the next regulator from the partnership—with said regulator, and all succeeding regulators, being bound by the above stipulations.—Keith B. Anderson
