Members will have their choice of placing banner, or email, ads. Banner-ad prices will be based on placement and duration. Email ads will be based on price per email—probably 1˘ each—sent to recipients opting into receiving email ads relevant to preferred categories. Email advertisers will be able to select the email quantities they wish to send, with random-computer-selection kicking in to decide which opt-in recipients will receive the emails when said email quantities are less than the total quantity of opt-in recipients available. After their ads are approved, email advertisers would be able to send their emails to their opt-in recipients at any time within a 30-day limit.

 

Below (shown in part), John has chosen to place a banner ad. He would be able to access a rate/space-availability chart and then could select placement. After submitting his banner for approval and being accepted, he would then pay, after which the USS Ad Department would schedule his ad to run.
