FIG. 6: SURVEY QUALIFICATION (REQUIRED BASICS)
Before taking surveys, John must first complete his REQUIRED BASICS regarding qualifying for surveys matching his basic demographics. In order to prevent members from randomly editing entries to try to qualify for more surveys, members will not *normally be able to edit info for a period of time (*but may seek USS permission and present proof of need if the update is important).
(NOTE: As stated in the INTRODUCTION, John would only need to complete his qualification info ONCE—whether basic, detailed (or custom)—because Survey Sponsors, for each survey they sponsor, would use those same fields to set their own values and be bound by those values to accept all Respondents who match them and successfully filter through.) |
FIG. 6A: SURVEY QUALIFICATION (DETAILED CATEGORICAL)
John can select to view his REQUIRED BASICS or to complete as much as he wishes of the DETAILED CATEGORICAL and/or CUSTOM CATEGORICAL portions. |
FIG. 6B: SURVEY QUALIFICATION (CUSTOM CATEGORICAL)
CUSTOM CATEGORICAL qualification (“custom qualifiers”) would allow Respondents to answer fields custom-designed by Survey Sponsors to filter survey qualifiers based on specific matters not normally covered by the REQUIRED BASICS or DETAILED CATEGORICAL qualifications.
In FIG. 6B (below), the Survey Sponsor has created a custom qualifier in the CATEGORY of SERVICES, Sector of Civilian, Type: Travel/Transportation. The Sponsor wants to qualify Respondents who frequently travel by air between the U.S. and Great Britain during the summer so that he/she can later gather relative responses via his/her survey. |
